Havent you just had enough of the iTunes or album first controversy ? It leaves me utterly confused and irritated and i believe will do so for sometime.



Let me share my confusion. I had read about Pearl Jam, Shakira, Gwen Stefani and Arctic Monkey and their awesome success with iTunes. Gosh! I felt this is it.



Then today I read about Ne-Yo and I am back to square one. The R&B star’s single which sold whooping 120,000 copies on line and another 301,000 album copies is regarded as the biggest debut this year . What I want to highlight here is the steps, that is album first and iTunes second. But for wonders he still made it big.



This controversy will continue for sometime. But I believe what actually boost record sales are not really the means but the quality of the artists. So let it be iTunes or album first good music will still make money.
