Its official! The Spice Girls have confirmed their plans to reform for a world tour which starts December.
This will be the first time the group will perform together since Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell quit in May 1998 citing differences. BBC spoke to the five women who appeared all spiced-up as they confirmed their plan for a reunion tour.
BBC quoted Geri Halliwell as saying,
For us it’s about celebrating the past, enjoying each other and it’s about our fans. It was kind of now or never.
Earlier this month, Sporty Spice Mel Chischolm had told the BBC about her unwillingness to reform, but now everything is sorted out for the group which enjoyed global success more than a decade ago.
The tour, which will take place in December and January, is being organized by Simon Fuller, whose 19 company was responsible for the group’s previous success more than a decade ago.
The following is the schedule of the tour:
Los Angeles - 7 December
Las Vegas - 8 December
New York - 11 December
London - 15 December
Cologne - 20 December
Madrid - 23 December
Beijing - 10 January
Hong Kong - 12 January
Sydney - 17 January
Cape Town - 20 January
Buenos Aires - 24 January
I bet this is going to be the spiciest reunion of all time.
Hurray for the Spice Girls!
