
Besides several other reasons guitar has been many a times kept the Beatles Legend, Sir Paul Mccartney in news. And this time too something similar has made him into the news. But this time the guitar with he is seen in the snap happens to be a bit different which the multi-instrumentalist is used to playing.
Sir Paul signed the 10ft guitar replica named ‘And the Crowd Goes Wild’ when he visited the Gibson Guitartown London exhibition on Wednesday, September 12. This gigantic hand-painted Gibson Les Paul guitar with other 59 guitars will be auctioned in London at the end of the year. The raised money will be used by three charities namely The Prince’s Trust, Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and Teenage Cancer Trust.
While donating the three feet musical instrument Sir Paul said:
I fancied playing with a big guitar. Hopefully the guitar will catch the imagination of the public and whoever buys it at the auction and raise money for great charities.
Some well known rock stars that gave their signatures on other guitars for the exhibition are Noel Gallagher, Robert Plant, Paul Weller And Ozzy Osbourne.
