
The rock band, The Verve formed in 1990, which later on split in April 1999, has reunited for the new upcoming album. This album is due for a release in the end of the summer and will coincide with a tour in November this year.
The acrimonious split of the original members Richard Ashcroft, Nick McCabe, Simon Jones and Peter Salisbury kept them away for 8 years and now once again they are back in London studio to record the new album.
Apart from albums the band famous for its hits like Bitter Sweet Symphony and The Drugs Don’t Work has planned six gigs in November which will take place in Glasgow, Blackpool and London.
The band was formed in the northern town of Wigan. It saw its first debut album A Storm in Heaven release three years after the formation. This debut album was the biggest hit appeared on Urban Hymns in 1997.
The band Verve has won several awards. The reunion was announced on June 26 on BBC Radio 1. However, Simon Tong who joined the band as guitarist later on will be missing, as he is busy in work with Damon Albarn.
