In what appears to be the favourite track of Rihanna’s album, the news has it that ‘Umbrella’ has been picked by the Plain White T’s for a remake version. The rock band that tasted huge success with their hit ‘Hey There Delilah’ recently covered the full version of one of the arguably biggest hits of the year.
The song ‘Umbrella’ has seen many a versions come out ever since its release but mostly they were not from the same genre of R&B. The two versions that caught attention was upcoming singer Marie Digby’s acoustic version posted on You Tube and Mandy Moore’s ballad version.
Rock band My Chemical Romance covered the hit recently during Projekt Revolution Tour. With Rihanna bagging the biggest awards around the international music circuit for her hit single ‘Umbrella’ a lot if expected from remakes. It is now Plain White T’s responsibility to ensure that the reputation of the song is maintained, but for music lovers this surely can be a treat of one of a kind.
