It is really nice to hear about socially active stars. It takes a lot to be able to come down from the top floor to care for the rags. And Ricky Martin is such a man.
His Ricky Martin Foundation, on Tuesday signed an agreement with the International Organization for Migration at Spain. The move was to tackle sexual exploitation and trafficking of children.
He states:
We are committed to ending child exploitation. Unfortunately, more than half of trafficking victims worldwide are children, forced into pornography, prostitution and labor servitude, among other forms of exploitation. We are certain that this alliance will create a global call to action.
The 34 year old singer had started the Ricky Martin Foundation 10 years ago and its People for Children project is actively involved in tackling trafficking.
