R &B sensation Rihanna’s smash hit ‘Umbrella’ continues to dominate the British singles chart for a ninth consecutive week.

The 19-year-old Barbados-born starlet’s smash hit Umbrella has sold an incredible 350,000 copies leaving behind Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie, who performed number two single ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ at London leg of Live Earth and singer and songwriter Kate Nash took third place with her single ‘Foundations.’

Timbaland was fourth in the singles charts with ‘The Way I Are’ while Arctic Monkeys rose to fifth place from 23rd with their song ‘Flourescent Adolescent.’ Canadian rock star Avril Lavigne’s song ‘When You’re Gone’ was placed at number six whereas, Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias slides down to seven with ‘Do You Know.’

My Chemical Romance rounded out the top ten by climbing to number nine with Teenagers, while Natasha Bedingfield’s Soulmate fell to number 10.
