Red Hot Chili Peppers have been accused of plagiarism. American radio station, WGMD accused the band of copying Tom Petty’s Mary Jane’s Last Dance in their Dani California number.
I really appreciate how Stadium Arcade succeeded, but I would have to revise that very soon. As much as I find it hard to believe - but the fact is so clear.
To think that the band almost cried when someone released their song over the internet. Shame, total shame! A classic example of ‘Tit for Tat’.

I Have Played Guitar For over 5 years... i am 14 years old, i have always known the song ”Mary Janes Last Dance”, but I have only Recently learned the song ”Dani California”. True: the Chord Progression is Similar, but not the same. It is clear that this is NOT an act of Plagiarism, the Red Hot Chille Peppers Totally Wrote this Themselves, and this is definately an original Song... Besides Tom Petty is, like, a billion years old anyway, so his copyright laws are more likely than not, expired by now. LOL
