So far it has been a very painful year for Richie Sambora and after battling for long with his problems the guitarist has decided to give treatment a chance. Richie was believed to be in bad shape, both mentally and physically.
Explaining Richie’s current state his representative said:
Richie Sambora has entered an undisclosed treatment facility in Los Angeles. He asks that you respect his and his family’s privacy at this time.
Neither treatment centre’s location nor the nature of Sambora’s problem has been disclosed. But despite all these problems the diehard Sambora will be performing with his band in a concert on June 19.
2007 has brought one problem after another for Sambora. First it was his breakup with actress Denise Richards and then he divorced from Heather Locklear - and then came the worst of all when his father died of cancer.
Apart form playing guitar for his band, Richie is a solo artist as well. He even released two solo albums; Stranger In This Town in 1991, and Undiscovered Soul in 1998. Throughout his career Richie has used a wide range of guitars and amplifiers. In the 80s, Sambora mostly played superstrats- Kramer, Charvel, Jackson, Hamer - as well as modified Les Paul models.
I hope that Richie Sambora emerges a winner from treatment and once again mesmerizes us with his music.
