Mariah Carey has revealed why she delayed the release of her album, which was to come in December 2007 and would now come in February 2008. She observed that if one wanted to have one’s records to reach out to as many people as possible, December was certainly not the month to choose for the release. However, Mariah also told that a few of the songs will be released before the rest of the album comes out.
Revealing a little more, she said that she had had a ‘really, really hot’ session with a ‘very popular’ person from Miami. She was speaking on on MTV’s TRL (October 24) as part of promotional campaign for her newly released fragrance ‘M’. Connecting the fragrance and her forthcoming album, she said
I’ve been working on this record while I’m working on the fragrance,” she said:
I wanted (the fragrance) to be sensual. It’s really been like writing a song ... this was almost the same creative process.
