Shakira says that there is nothing more important to her than love and it is her priority number one. Even her career comes a far second to love in her scheme of things. When asked if marriage was on the cards, she said that she may or may not marry, but is she surely together with her love interest and that’s what matters. She said,
We’ll get married eventually, or we won’t, but we’re together and that’s what matters. We love each other and we want to stay like that. Why fix something that’s not broken? Love is my primary nourishment. I think that nothing else in life, not even your career or music - well, what I’m saying is a bold statement - I think that nothing can substitute love as the propelling force of everyone’s lives. It’s number one on my list of priorities, of course.
Shakira recently performed in Las Vegas at the premiere of ‘Love in the Time of Cholera’. Shakira has done three songs for the movie. The movie based on Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s book by the same name tells the 19th century tale of a love triangle.
