Rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley fans must be disturbed with the reports who toped the list since its inception, is no longer on that seat and further disturbing is that he is down from last year’s $45 million to $42 million.
Thanks to Cobain’s widow, actress and singer Courtney Love, who sold a 25-percent stake in the Seattle grunge group’s song catalog to New York music publishing company PrimeWave or else Presley would have never ceded his crown to grunge rocker Cobain who earned $50 million between October 2005 and October 2006.

Forbes’ dead celebrity power rankings have indeed become a telling sign of the times for certain careers that simply refuse to die. The reason simply is an age of relentless marketing and products licensing that have made dead celebs earning this much long after they are gone.
