Rapper Jay-Z is all set to begin a brief tour of five-date, five-city on November 6, 2007 to promote his tenth studio album titled ‘American Gangster’. The forthcoming album of hip-hop entertainer is his first ‘concept album’ inspired by the film of the same name.

His tour begins with a performance at Los Angeles’ House of Blues on Nov 6, the same day the album ‘American Gangster’ releases in the United States. On next four dates he will perform only on the material from his upcoming album in Chicago, Baltimore, New York and Philadelphia.

Jay-Z, 37, recently expressed his embarrassment on his retirement, which he celebrated with a gig at Madison Square Gardens in New York City, on November 25, 2003, as he said:

I want to never say that again. People looking at me like, ‘Please shut up.’ I was looking at Fade To Black the other day. I was embarrassed...I’m not playing with you. I had to turn it off. I was cringing.

The rap mogul released ‘Kingdom Come’ in 2006 and ‘American Gangster’ is his second album release since his retirement.
