
The pop star and singer George Michael had to cancel a concert that was scheduled in Prague. The truck carrying his stage equipment crashed between Bucharest and Prague damaging a huge part of the podium as it got trapped on the damaged truck and was not replaceable. The 43-year-old Faith star was ‘profoundly saddened’ by the incident and cancellation.
Michael had recently begun his 25 Live tour and was to play the first concert at Wembley Stadium next week.
Michael recently appeared in court after being accused of driving under the influence of drugs. The singer admitted the allegations but explained that it was due to tiredness and for the same he was prescribed drugs. He is due to be sentenced on 8 June, a day before his first Wembley gig.
George Michael’s pop career spans 25 years. The singer’s real name is George Panayitou and he has many sensational solo albums to his credit since 1986 including Wham!. George Michael has sold over 80 million records and has toured each and every corner of the world.
He will end the 25 Live tour on July 26, in Athens, Greece.
