I can’t help but laugh on the idolistic behaviour shown by some of the contestants that appear on American Idol. The latest in this line is the fine act presented by former American Idol finalist Jessica Sierra.

Sierra got herself arrested early Sunday when she hit a man on the head with a heavy glass at a cafe, which left the victim with a cut over his eyes. Sierra, 21, faces a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

If this was not enough, she even atracted another charge of drug possession, when she was found carrying a small amount of cocaine while the officers searched her.

Sierra hails from Tampa and was among the top 10 contestants in 2005. She joins the list of other American Idol contestants who have been booked by the law for their misdeeds.

If these are the aspirants who want to become the idol for any nation, then its better to have a world without these self-confessed lot of idols.
