Diana Rose, 62 year old singer is very busy these days that she could not get time to see hit film “Dreamgirls,” which is loosely based on her life as a Motown starlet. She revealed in CBS “Late Show” host David Letterman that she is going to be a mentor on Fox’s “American Idol” and is planning a world tour in March to promote her new album, “I Love You.”
Rose didn’t see the musical version of “Dreamgirls.” But the Film had won the Golden Globe for best musical or comedy. Jennifer Hudson, a newcomer and former contestant of the popular reality show ‘American Idol’ won for best supporting actress. Eddie Murphy also won for best supporting actor.
Diana said that she has not seen the movie but she is heard there is a lot of her image and likeness in the movie. The character of Deena Jones played by Beyonce Knowles looks like Ross during her early solo days.
