Christina Aguilera, a spinto soprano has well established that she is all set to entertain her fans till she finally quits for delivering a baby. Currently some four months pregnant Christina Aguilera has once again expected to give a performance at 59th Emmy Awards on September 16th this year.
The pop diva will perform a duet with Tony Bennett of ‘Steppin’ Out with My Baby’ the song which originally was written by Irving Berlin and introduced in the 1948 musical film Easter Parade. Tony sang the same song in 2006, on Saturday Night Live with Christina Aguilera.
Although her rep. did not confirm her performance at the event due to her present condition but I am pretty sure that Aguilera will make her completely fit by September to give the much-anticipated performance.
The singer had to cut off her Back to Basics tour early this month when she had to give up Melbourne show as she was unable to perform despite all her efforts. The singer had developed breathing problem and collapsed backstage which left the show unfinished by three songs in the show.
