Hold your breath as Celine Dion is all set to enthrall you with her crystal clear voice at the Oscars scheduled for February 25.
Dion will be performing a new song ‘I Knew I Loved You,’ during a tribute to Italian composer Ennio Morricone before he is presented with honorary Oscar for his scores for ‘Days of Heaven,’ ‘The Mission,’ ‘The Untouchables,’ ‘Bugsy’ and ‘Malena.’
The song Dion will be singing has been composed by Morricone for the 1984 film ‘Once Upon A Time In America.’ The film was directed by Sergio Leone. At that time, songwriters Alan and Marilyn Bergman wanted to write lyrics for the song but film’s producers felt that none were needed. But Bergmans got chance with Dion’s version.
The new version of ‘I knew I Loved You’ produced by Quincy Jones, will be released on Morricone’s forthcoming greatest-hits album and on Dion’s latest record.
