Both professionally and personally things are not working well for Britney Spears’. However I have a strong inkling that soon she would set sail on the old track of fame with her new music video. And hopefully the troubled singer and mother would not have to wait long to scale heights in her singing career, as the music video for ‘Gimme More’ will be premiered on Monday, October 8, 2007 on MTV’s Total Record Lives at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Shot by Jake Nava (the man who wrote Beyonce Knowles and Shakira’s duet ‘Beautiful Liar’) the video’s second single is ‘Piece of Me’ and also possibly album title. The video shows Britney in dual roles, one as a sexy brunette pole dancer, and other as a curious blonde watching her. The brunette sexy ‘Bad Britney’ will perform around the pole, clad in a sexy outfit whereas the virtuous blonde will stay back at the bar and watch ‘Bad Britney’.
It has also been learnt that the idea for the video had come from Britney herslf. The album is due for a release on November 13 on Jive Records.
According to the latest charts her new single has moved into the Top 10 on the U.S pop chart, which are good signs and suggest that her fans are not yet tired of the singer.......as far her music is concerned.
“Gimme More” is at the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs chart and has sold 179,000 downloads in its first week of release. It has also topped iTunes chart and this week it peaked to No.3 from No.68 on Billboard Hot 100 chart.
