Britney Spears‘ latest single Gimme More, which got released on iTunes on Tuesday, September 25, proved a hot cake and scaled the popularity within hours of its release. As on September 27, the song had reached at #2 position on the US iTunes chart. The single is enjoying the same position in France and New Zealand. But Canada and Australia proved extremely lucky for Britney’s comeback vehicle, and the song is resting prestigiously at the first position.
Apart from the iTunes success, the single has been received successfully in the US singles chart where the song is climbing up at a rapid rate. Britney’s yet-untitled album is slated for a November 13 release via Jive Records.
I hope the people’s verdict has shown Britney’s critics that the singer cannot be taken for granted. Inspite of her recent debacle at the MTV VMAs, the Toxic babe has not lost her fans.
