If Britney Spears opens the MTV Video Music awards on September 9, this year then she would be setting a record for herself. Earlier she had appeared for the MTV awards four years back when she was at the peak of her singing career.
She is keeping everyone guessing about her performance at the awards. In fact even Britney herself can not give assurance for the same. Though she has been giving commitments, which she herself has not been able to fulfil. For instance she did not turn up at Timbaland’s studio for recording of a special song and had also failed to show up for scheduled photo shoots for OK! and Allure magazines.
Therefore seeing her current track of promises her fans would not be amazed if she pulls out from the awards’ function at the last moment. All that is a matter of concern is that MTV should be ready with a backup performer to fill her place.
The great event will be telecast on Sept. 9 from the Palms Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
The other performers who have registered to perform are Kanye West, Timbaland, Fall Out Boy, Chris Brown, the Foo Fighters, Lil’ Wayne, Nelly Furtado, Common, Gym Class Heroes and Rihanna. The only name that MTV fans are awaiting happens to be of.....Britney.
