It’s the Beatles as they have never imagined themselves, yesterday the mash up album of Beatles love was a smash hit but today it is considered tampering with the classical music.
The new album has created hullabaloo among Beatles fans for the reason that they claim the Love album is tampering with classic music. The fans are outraged because the man behind the project was not even alive when the Beatles were at their prime and that someone who is not even a ‘true’ fan has the nerve to redo such untouchable music.
However, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have been in attendance throughout parts of the project and approving certain ideas, as well as the widows of John Lennon and George Harrison. All four of them have approved most of the decision being man by Giles Martin, the man behind the project, although there were certain concerns about the quality of recordings and such.
The new album is going to do badly on the charts just because people who have been Beatles fans since day one and were part of the whole Beatlemania are going to completely reject the album. I think that since the Beatles are such icons in the music culture and completely changed the face of music as we know it, most people are rightly outraged on messing with their music. There is a fine line between what you can change and what you shouldn’t change, and someone has crossed it.
