‘American Idol’ semifinalist Antonella Barba’s sex scandal has hit headlines. The whole sex scandal could end if Barba, who was purportedly shown in X-rated online pictures, is voted off the show.
Idol fans have flooded online chat rooms and blogs to know whether the photos are really of Barba or not. All are curious to know whether she’ll be kicked off the singing contest because of her racy photos on internet.
For now Idol producers have ignored the controversy but it could be controversial after Thursday’s program.
Antonella Barba was one of 20 contestants, who last week advanced to the latest round. But now the list of finalists is narrowed down to 16 and Barba is expected to be voted off the show because of her mediocre singing.
The anonymously posted photos include those of a young woman lying on her back covered in rose petals, posing in her underwear, sitting on a toilet and sitting among a group of topless women on a beach, hands over their breasts. Others show a woman performing oral sex on a man.
Though photos are supposed to be of Barba, but still none of the photographs are positively identified.
And even judge Simon Cowell and fellow producer Nigel Lythgoe didn’t said anything about the racy pics. They asserted that Barba’s future is entirely up to fans who vote on the contestants.
Barba, 20, has kept silent about the photos. But her friend Amanda Coluccio defended her friend by saying that the least graphic photos are of Barba but more offensive photos are of someone else.
Well, I think that she’ll be kicked off the show, not only because of her sex scandal but she is also a mediocre singer. I am sure that she’ll definitely be eliminated of the show.
