All those who have loved and supported the reality TV show of American Idol, news is that this famous show will make its way back for a 7th season in a row come January. Reports though have it that this season will be slightly different as compared to others.

Singers who participate to be a part of the Idol fame, with extra musical abilities may be given a chance to show off their talent on stage by accompanying themselves with guitar. So this upcoming American Idol will get to see some really awesome singing along with even better strumming. News also coming in about the show is that legendary artists like Tony Bennett and Diana Ross who have acted as mentors so far in American Idol, will not be booked as often so that the focus is put squarely over the contestants.
As far as the format of the show is concerned, it will be same as always. Almost 100 singers will be making their way into Hollywood by the next month to start the 7th journey of American Idol. The executive producer Nigel Lythgoe commented upon the progress of the show and said,
We’re bringing about 160 people back to Hollywood at the end of this month. We’ll bring everyone there, and the judges will spend four days with them and bring the list down to the top 24 contestants - 12 boys and 12 girls.
The executive producer also confirmed there are few names who are a part of the show as contestants are already creating some buzz with their musical talents. As per reports there are about two to three contestants who really stand out. A girl who was seen three years ago but was not an American citizen then also has made her way back to the Idol fame.
The American Idol has created a huge buzz ever since its conception and each Idol is unique in their true self. Yet again the expectations from the show will be high and the audiences will be hoping to get a rockings Idol. The music circuit though may have some star bitting their nails away and await tough competition from the Idol famer.
