Guess Who’s Back? rapper 50 Cent has left everyone speculating the reason for postponing his several performances that were due in Europe this week. The 31-year-old will now not be performing at the MOBO Awards and the Vodafone Live Music Awards, both in London on Wednesday, September 19 and for MTV in Germany on Friday, September 21.
Though the exact reason of canceling the shows is not known but it is expected that 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson may be all set to quit solo singing in case if Kanye West’s new album titled ‘Graduation’ outsells his latest CD, Curtis, in first-week sales.
West, 29, ‘Graduation’ climbed to top and was at No. 1 on Britain’s album chart this Sunday after leaving 50 Cent’s Curtis behind at No. 2 position.
The two contenders for No. 1 position had also appeared together on September 9, 2007 for the event of MTV’s Video Music Awards.
Well, it hardly matters to me that who wins in this game, but as far as hip-hop is concerned surely this week is certainly going to be great one for the music lovers.
